1. We are publishing a book in Bengali on the recent war in
Afghanistan. The seven hundred page book will include articles
written by the journalists of Bangladesh and also the translation
of the articles on the war in Afghanistan by eminent Western
journalists.

BROTHERS DETAINED IN EGYPT NEED YOUR HELP

Dear Brother/Sister,

Please can you assist us in helping the brothers from UK detained in
Egypt by writing letters to the addresses below concerning this case.
We should account the corrupt Egyptian regime for the injustices it
inflicts on anyone who wishes to practice Islam fully as a way of life.
The names of the brothers are: Maajid Nawaz, Ian Nisbet, Reza Pankhurst
and Hassan Rizvi.

State clearly that you are very concerned to hear reports that they
have been tortured by the authorities ranging from sensory deprivation
due to continuous blind folding, shackling and cuffing for days on end
(this happened for four days continuously), beating, deprivation of
food. They have also been made to listen to incessant screams of
others being tortured, threatened with rape and abuse of families and
subjected to electric shock torture.

The letters should be written in your own words and the points are a
mere guideline of what issues need to be raised. Please write these
letters ASAP - this week - so that they can have a positive impact on
the upcoming trial, the date of which has been set and is very soon.
Also, do keep a record of what you have written.

that this action is one that is permitted in Islam just like the
Muslims when they travelled to Abyssinia and had protection of King
Negus. We should also remember that at the end of the day some of the
